Singapore is a country full of diversity.People from different countries,in different races,with different colors of skin,all live in this “SMALL BUT BIG”country.As a result,all types of culture and traditions are able to be found here.As a Victorian,we are responsible to understand all the traditions to avoid misunderstanding and create a society that based on equality and harmony.In order to do this,we Victorians must be global-minded.

As a Chinese scholar,Singapore is not a place which I am quite familiar with.So I always expect to get used to the lifestyle here.In my opinion,I am a very global-minded person.I would like to learn the customs,rites and culture all the time.Moreover, I would like to influence those people beside me,too.

Global mindedness education is definitely a hard work,but the methods are quite a lot as well.The education can take place at school,and the whole society.Schools can give relevant courses to improve the students’global mindedness.Also,the society can be a much bigger classroom.Governments can educate all the citizens through dissemination and so on.And personally,people should remind themselves of the importance of respect the others all the time.

I agree with this comment.To be global-minded,be open and respectful is very essential.We must open ourselves to all the culture and customs so that we are able to accept them.Also, we must respect their traditions,no matter how strange they are.However,we still need our boundaries.We must not let them to do all the things in their own ways,adversely,we should give them limits of their own ways of doing things.
