Q1) Why is it relevant for every Victorian to be global-minded?

Being global minded can help Victorians to be acquainted with the divergence of the contrasting cultures. This is to ensure that we can respect how different nations accomplish things and understand why other cultures perform similar tasks differently. It also allows them to push the limits of how they carry out things

Q2) How may global-mindedness in you be evident to your friends?

To show global-mindedness, I can be tolerant of other pupils who have different religions and accept how they do things and accept them for who they are. I can also be knowledgeable of different cultures and not discriminate.

Q3) What do you think best fosters the development of global mindedness in a person?  (You may consider the character virtue, school programs or environment)

I think that School Programs like the Secondary Three overseas adventure camp to the Tanjong Sutera camp can help foster global mindedness in a person. The activities held during the camp such as the Community Involvement Program (CIP) visit to the nearby Kampong allowed us to learn what kind of conditions they live in, and their lifestyle. This allowed us to better understand their culture, thus, fostering global mindedness.

Q4) Briefly comment on the comment

"A global mindset combines an openness to and awareness of diversity across cultures.  It respects how different countries do things and has the imagination to appreciate why other cultures do them that way. But, a global mindset is also incisive ― to push the limits of one's own way of doing things."

I agree with this comment, as global mindedness does allow us to be aware of different cultures and teaches us to push the limits of how people do things.
